Innovating for Sustainability: The 6 P's
To help meet sustainability challenges ahead, Frost & Sullivan recently launched a 6P framework, designed to help transform the future of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Sustainability, and the Circular Economy, a system based on the reuse and regeneration of materials or products. The 6P's stand for Policies, Products, Processes, People/Personas, Partnerships and Platforms. This framework also highlights the critical role of technology to drive the three S’s of digital sustainability - scale, speed and savings.
World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on June 5th every year, and the themes for this year were land restoration, halting desertification and building drought resilience, all as part of a broader theme, “Our Land Our Future.” We are Generation Restoration.
To help meet the sustainability challenges ahead, Frost & Sullivan recently launched a 6P framework, shaped by the pathway of Policies to Platforms. Part of this framework is the digital sustainability strategy of "doing more with less."

Vertically integrated models: exemplified by Kodak and IBM in the mid-20th century, placed most aspects of product research, development, scale-up and commercial production under one roof and in one location
Horizontally integrated or decentralized models: examples include the U.S. auto and computer hardware industries starting in the latter half of 20th century, relied on a network of third parties, including startups, for product innovation and overseas manufacturers for production
